Ganesh Chaturthi

Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha, one of the most widely worshipped. The festival falls in the month of Bhadrapada, usually between August and September, and is celebrated for 10 days.

The festival is marked by the installation of Ganesha idols in homes, public places, and temples. On the 10th day, the idols are taken out in a grand procession and immersed in a water body, symbolizing the return of Lord Ganesha to his abode.
